Please read below about the many ways you can help us at Cottage Rescue.

The costs of running a rescue are high and so we are always looking for ways to raise money. Please do note that ALL monies that come into the rescue go into a Cottage Rescue Bank Account and are used for the feeding and care of the animals at the Rescue ONLY.

We have no paid staff here at Cottage Rescue and the Rescue is run by Volunteers who donate their time.

Would you like to help our Rescue by selling some of our Pens or would like to

place one of our collection boxes in a business, shop or factory.

Examples- Bag Packing, Car Boot Sale, Coffee Morning, Raffles, A Food Drive/Appeal in your Area or School etc.

We are VERY GRATEFUL for any offers of help no matter how small or big!

We have had many phone calls regarding people collecting in Tipperary on behalf of Paws (who are also based in Co Tipperary).

Unfortunately some local people have been lead to believe that somehow Paws are connected with Cottage Rescue and that we receive some of the money collected, we would like to clarify and advise members of the public that monies collected by Paws is not shared with Cottage Rescue.

Paws use a Professional Fundraising Agency and the street collectors get up to 10% to 15% and the Professional Fundraising Agency gets 25% of all money taken in.

So if you give €1.00 to these people, the rescue is in fact only getting 60 cent out of your Euro so therefore your money does not go directly to the animals in their care.

If you donate to Cottage Rescue all money goes directly to the animals in our care as we have no paid staff and no paid Fundraisers.

Our fund raising & flag days are manned entirely by volunteers who donate their time freely to help the animals in our care. We would like to thank them for their caring and generous attitude, without them we could not help so many animals in need. All monies collected by us is used to pay Vet fees, feed bills, kennel fees, stable fees for the abandoned, abused, neglected animals in County Tipperary.

Our members & volunteers are easily identifiable by our Bibs with Cottage Rescue "A Safe Haven for Animals" on the front and back and we always have a Permit from the Garda which can inspected by any member of the public who has any doubts as to their authenticity.

Remember Charity begins at home

Support us at Cottage Rescue as we help people and animals in Cashel, Thurles, Clonmel, Cahir and Tipperary towns and all the villages in between with Cruelty Checks, taking in strays and homing of Dogs/Cats/Horses etc and we also help with financial aid with Neutering of Cats and Dogs for people on Social Welfare and we also help with vet bills while Paws do not.

Please people support us here in Cottage Rescue and remember that all collectors are supposed to have a permit on their person for that day in the area they are collecting in and if you are in doubt, please contact your local Garda Station! who will be able to tell you if these collectors are genuine or not and if they have no permit they will ask them to leave the area.
